Virus tied to MS in long-term study Reuters.com:
"Elevated blood levels of antibodies to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) can be seen in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients decades before the onset of disease, according to a report published today.The current study is just the latest to link infection with this common virus with MS. What makes the current research novel is the period of time from blood sample collection to MS diagnosis -- 30 years in some cases." |
